Tour Description
Cooper Creek Wilderness specialises in guided interpreted tours through the best of the Daintree Rainforest. This is the jewel in the crown of the Wet Tropics of Australia in Tropical North Queensland. Our forest sustains an extraordinary biodiversity and has been described as the Valley of Rainforest Dinosaurs.
The secret places of the world are hard to find. Sought by many, found by few and concealed by a timeless barrier of Protection. Cooper Creek Wilderness contains an awesome expression of diversity and perseverance. Access to this refugium of Gondwanan forest with its representative communities of primitive fauna and flora, cannot be achieved from the convenience of public boardwalks; it requires far greater discernment and determination. Treks are on the forest floor, unspoiled by artificial structures. Inhabitant guides traverse discrete trails through a complex environment, part of an ancient landscape.
